JoAnn Craft supplies

Something new and odd in the styrofoam category, torsos!

Torso with guts has some potential. The female torso is a bit of a mystery. Mr. Old Fashion Halloween thought it could work for a La Catrina look.

The cool wiggly eyes are back and include the dragon eyes!

Trying to match up merchandise in the store with the web site. I was taking photos as the poor gal was trying to put things on the shelf. Found some cool Tarot Card fabric that was not in stock at my store. This has potential as a border on a tablecloth.

Michaels Old School

The sign is shaped like a bottle cap.

Nice graphics on this set.

Large selection of old fashioned pieces this year.

Not a great photo. The sign is gorgeous. The signs were calling to me this year. The moon sign might jump in my cart with a 40% off coupon.

Fortune Telling

There is a delightful collection of Fortune Teller signs and figures at Michaels.

More images here. Ran amuck in the store Tuesday night. So many great collections. Decor, lights, floral, lab containers, plaster figures, and the Halloween village collection were out at my store. No paper items and no Martha Stewart yet.

The New Digs

We noticed that every house we looked at, with the exception of 2, did not meet our Halloween decorating needs. A Georgian house had excellent potential only it was at a VERY busy 4 way stop. Then we found a 1902 Queen Anne House.

Our new Halloween project! We bought it in February and started work inside.

That upper window on the east side will have a projection running in it. We need to paint this house sooner than later so that will suck up all the Halloween funds. I really want pumpkins covering the railings on both porches. The plan is to invest in Funkins, over time, so they can sit out the entire month. Haunting the thrift stores now to find used Funkins.

Found this little gem at Goodwill last night. Lights up and was only $4.99. Goodwill is putting out Halloween at the same time as Christmas. At one store this lead to a standoff between the wiseman and the skull.

Peace was restored. Halloween and Christmas are now on opposite sides of the aisle.

Michaels Halloween

My store has the fall floral out and some Halloween items.

Not sure what to think about a Halloween tree like the old ceramic Christmas trees. The ceramic tree was part of every Christmas when I was a kid. The light pegs always fell out and rolled under furniture. Might take a second look if Michaels plugs one in.

The trio of plastic doll heads has potential.

The critter skeleton section.

Fear the itty bitty dragon! He is kind of cute. Started the 2019 Halloween album on flickr. Trying to get my ducks in a row to start on the Halloween craft projects.

Halloween 2019-Fabric

Halloween is popping in to stores! JoAnn has some wonderful new fabrics. This silky skeleton and bat print:

Great draping fabrics. I couldn't find the bat print online only the skeleton print can be found here.

All of the prints above are knit fabrics! I can see making more than one design as leggings. There were glass pumpkins and some fall decor on the shelves.

Moving Sale- Halloween!

We bought a spooky Victorian house! Technically, it is a lovely house with spooky potential. More on that later. I don't know if anyone local is still following this blog. Big moving sale tomorrow here.

Lucrezia

New grave this year. This one is heavy. Storing it for the year I was crawling around on a raised shelf section of the basment trying to...
