This gorgeous skull pillow arrived in the mail today. Its now on clearance for $1.99.
Sadly the pillow on the right is now sold out. Most of the Halloween clearance is not available on the web site. The quality is good and the cover is removable for cleaning.
I wanted to share the Plaza de la Familia with you at the California Adventure park.
The plaza is sponsored by the Pixar movie Coco, that opens later this month.
There are cards on a table in the Tree of Life pavilion. My father passed away 6 months ago today. Filled out a card for him.
Then you tie the cards to the memories of my family wall. Long cords with dozens of messages tied to each cord. It was very moving to see all the messages.
One of my little splurges this Halloween season. From this company.
Over did it on Halloween Spending last year. This year, the few purchases, were hard to narrow down. My fear was this parasol might sell out. Turns out, it did! There was more talk of down sizing and moving to a smaller house. The thought of packing up the current collection of Halloween is a bit daunting.
The date and location were factors in picking this years pumpkin design. Well, like most of this year, things did not go as planned. It was supposed to be for national cat day in the neighborhood public park.
Placement was a little late. It was tonight. Stopping to get a quick photo at the picnic table as the light was fading.
Bench in the middle of the park.
Very busy family park. I hope kitty goes home with a little goblin.
This year we were very fortunate to finally attend one of the Disneyland Halloween Parties.
This was the very first year that both Disneyland and California Adventure parks were decorated for Halloween and the Halloween party.
The new Oogie Boogie sign over California Adventure is gorgeous!
Trick or Treat Stations were set up all over the parks. This fellow was a decoration in one of the lines. There is a certain glee to trick or treating as an adult. You get a treat bag with your Halloween Party ticket.
The Haunted Mansion Ride was paused to load and unload guests in wheelchairs. This gave me a chance to take some video of the singing Jack-O-Lanterns.
More photos are up here on Flickr. Loading more this week.
We are trying out some projections this year. I wanted to share this cute little projector as it is 50% off at Lowe's. At $9 it was hard to resist. All the Halloween at Lowe's is now 50% off. You might want to grab one this weekend.
There are 6 slides similar to the old fashioned magic lanterns. You have to pop off the cover to change the slides. Its bright and sharp for a little projector. The witch:
The city carousel gift shop started the 40% of Halloween decor sale yesterday. Bought these cute little buckets.
The buckets are sitting on inverted metal baskets from Target. My local Target has them every Halloween in the $1 section. This year they had black, orange, silver, and copper. They make great votive candle holders. Upside down I use them as pillar candle holders and as a base to elevate small objects.
Not much left at my local store. If they follow last years plan things will be 60% off next week. Found this interesting spool of extra wide ribbon. Its more like a banner. 9 inches wide and 6 yards long. Semi-sheer. $5.99 a spool.
Halloween is coming up fast and I was out of town last week. Product reviews and photos from my Halloween adventures will be up later this week.
Yet another grocery store find. The witches have really nice faces. There is an LED in the orb. Might bring a battery in to see what they look like lit up. Not buying much this year. There are no must haves and I went over budget last year!
On the road all of next week. Barely started getting the decorations up. It will be a rush to get to the pumpkin patch and decorate this year.
The snake candleholders were out of stock in my store. A friend mailed the set to me. They are rather spectacular for only $5. The apothecary bottles were in stock. Not the best photo. Bone Powder and Bat's blood.
The table cloth was pretty. My previous experience with Target tablecloths is they fade considerably when washed. The tablecloth is on my post Halloween sale list. Several things from the web site did not impress me up close.
We spent the last few days on the road driving my late fathers truck from California to sell up here in Oregon. We found Halloween along the way. Albertsons grocery store with giant ceramic Halloween figures. The second set of very heavy ceramics was up on top of the frozen food!
Stopped at the Spirit store to see what had been added. This sign made me curious so I had to go look on the web site. Now I must have the Leggo my Eggo purse!
TJ Maxx usually starts out with an end cap display and gradually adds more stock to a few tables and shelves. This year it is an entire wall and multiple display tables. A pleasant surprise.

One of my favorite decorations from JoAnn this year. The LED Metal Cat Bones sign can be found here.
Brought this trio home. Set them up in the entry way to get a better photo. It would be easy to paste new images on these stands. The stands are listed individually on the web site.
The lanterns were in the Home Decorators line on the Home Depot web site last year.
I kept waiting for Williams Sonoma to add more to the Halloween Collection this year. The vintage style dishes, spatulas, apron, and linens are really nice.
The food section has some new edibles this year. This chocolate set and this chocolate set have lovey printed images. I have this illusion about making exotic Halloween treats every year. The reality is ordering pizza so I have enough time light all the candles, Jack-O-Lanterns, and plug in lights.
