The over 95 degree weather for a week brought out the powdery mildew. This patch has it bad. Going to harvest this patch next week. Give them a dilute bleach wash to kill bacteria and store in a cool dry place until October. There is a too big for me to lift one in this patch for a total of 6 good sized pumpkins. The lower bed will have 4 or maybe 5.

A beautiful pumpkin! I, too, have been battling powdery mildew.
Count me in for powdery mildew, both pumpkins and zucchini have it, zucchini worse. Lovely pumpkin!
Good looking pumpkin! Looks like he's ready to go :O)
I saw a documentary about people who grow pumpkins and they all said as they nurture them along, they become like children to them, they get emotionally attached and its a little sad to harvest them. Yours are perfectly lovely. Betty
