Will either do something with the lot next door to draw them in or go to Disneyland! See that is my excuse...we don't get any tots at our door so we need to go see the haunted mansion. :0 ) Not sure anyone else will be on board with this plan.

Hit target early this morning and had to restrain myself. The shelves were still full. Bought some of the solar orange LED lights to try next year.

We had less Treaters this year. I think it was because it was on Sunday. WE usually had about 300, but this maybe 75... There is Next Year !!!

I think if I didn't get any Tots at all -- and we really only get a dozen or so as it is (this year we actually nearly hit 30!) -- I'd probably still decorate my yard.

I enjoy the creative process of making my own props and seeing it all set up. Yes, it's fun to see the kids taking it all in, but I do it as much for myself as anyone else.

So I'd say don't abandon the haunt yet, though visiting The Haunted Mansion on Halloween would be way cool.

Cheers,
Rich

Rich,

I agree with doing it for myself and family. Our property sits next to a big empty lot we own and then a busy road no one walks on so it has to be folks driving up our drive. If we haunt the yard next door we will most certainly get folks. The private drive is a dead end with my BIL's family living next door. I'd need to make a safe marked turn around in front of our house for cars.

Found out we could get a tax break if we planted Christmas trees. The empty lot might be spooky woods some day. :0 ) We inherited the house and land this year so its a work in progress.
