How cool! What are your plans for this fabric?
Justine,
I probably will order this one some day. My current project is an 1880's stormy ocean theme bustle gown. Ordered a yard of small Octopus fabric from a Spoonflower designer to use as trim. The main fabric is a Chesapeake blue silk dupioni. Its to wear at the high tea at Steamcon in October in Seattle.
Wow! I love love love those characters! And the jawless skull is a hoot. Would love to see more of this person's work...!
That project sounds amazing! I love dresses from that time period. The mid to late 1880s are my favorite time period for any kind of design really. Be sure to post some photos of the dress once it is done!
Also, I had a lot of fun poking through the Spoonflower fabric designs yesterday. I need fabric for a chair. A lot of the patterns were a little small for my project, though. Do you know of any other good fabric sites?
A set under Steamcon will go up on flickr after the event. I think you will really like http://www.fabric.com/ for upholstery fabric.
Cool! I will definitely check out that fabric site. I can't wait to see your photos from Steamcon! :)
