GrandinRoad Halloween

My GrandinRoad catalog arrived this week. New Halloween items are being added to the web site.

Love this skeleton poncho. It looks fabulous just hanging on the dress form.

There is a matching wreath to go with this bust.

I want to make little costumes for these guys.

The Pumpkin Patch

A combination of circumstances meant no garden last year. It was a lot more work to weed and get things back in shape. We had extreme hot weather early so that got things off to a good start.

We planted a bed of flowers for the bees. In that bed is a small compact variety of pumpkins. Each pumpkin is under a pound at maturity.

The lower bed, we garden on a big hill, is 3 plants with marigolds. It should only be 2 plants. Plant number 3 had a split stem and I planned to pull it to make room. Then the little guy pulled through. The variety is Howden. Each plant should make 4-6 pumpkins.

Halloween at Michaels

Michaels has a small assortment out now in the stores. Floral is completely stocked. Love the metallic pumpkins. Something shiny without the glitter. One complete end cap of Halloween decor. The area normally devoted to Halloween is slowly pushing out all the summer clearance items.

Williams-Sonoma Halloween

As a collector of Halloween paper ephemera, good graphics make me happy. The packaging can be better than the goody inside. Williams-Sonoma has these 2 kits this year I want for the box! Some nice linens and food products make for a good start to the Halloween selection so far this year.

Pottery Barn Kids Halloween

For the little ones, Pottery Barn Kids has some cute treat bags. Costumes and some grown up decor can be found here.

For Star Wars fans they have some exceptional bedding. I will save my Star Wars skirt project for the film premiere for another entry.

Halloween is back in stores! Pottery Barn has some wonderful offerings this year. Let the shopping begin!

We have had hot weather early this year. The only good thing about the heat is the pumpkin patch took off fast! One pumpkin plant was sneaky and is actually multi colored squash! I need to shoot some photos of the patch.
