Amazing weather in the 80's this weekend. Drove out to an old family farm we have been supporting since 2008. Not sure how much longer they can hang on. Older couple in a Victorian farm house. They have been scaling things back each year. We would drive out to buy cider on the weekend but they stopped making it this year. Bought pumpkins, gourds, and squash. No corn stalks or straw bales. Hope to hit another small family farm for corn stalks this week. More photos of Sunday's farm adventure in my Halloween 2014 album here.

This looks so incredible! It's so sad that they are scaling back, though. I envy that you can drive through the countryside and look for farms/pumpkin patches!
A lot of farms can't afford the liability insurance for kids running amuck in a corn maze. The big commercial places that charge a small fortune are becoming more commonplace. Not that I am against this as its the only thing saving some family farms. Its just not for me.
This lovely older couple will probably hang on as long as there is family to help them. Its so labor intensive I can see why they cut back its just sad to see.
