Haunt in a Hurry!
Wow...retail space with a 5000 sq ft basement wants the college theater department to put on a haunt. My scenic designer spouse just called to tell me this and that they want a haunt this year!!! There will be much discussion about this tonight. Not much time to pull something off but it could be interesting.

I can't remember what was saved from the haunt 3 years ago. It was built like a set and took up half a gym. My guess is some of the flats from that haunt were recycled in to other projects. They kept all the set dressing and the giant mirror for the peppers ghost.
The fall is busy with the build for the fall show. Casting for actors in The Crucible would be at the same time for actors for the haunt. The last time we did this it was put up over August and September. Its a free space to give publicity to a pizza parlor and all proceeds would go to the theater department. It just would have been nice to know abut this 6 months ago! Guess I'll get the details tonight to see if this is even possible.
That's so exciting, yet anxiety-causing! Hope it all works out!
That's great :) Have fun. I have no idea what it takes to set something like that up, but I would agree that isn't much time. It takes us 4 months to just set up our house and yard.
