Halloween Sales

Christmas is taking over the seasonal departments at most stores. Michaels Halloween is already 50% off with not much left on the shelves at my store. The Martha Stewart pieces I had hoped to buy were all sold out. There were still a few of the hanging bug ornaments. World Market is at 50% off on the Bug vases that would pair well with the ornaments. Picked up this wall hanging on sale at my local Fred Meyer store. It was only $7.

Fred Meyer this year had corn and millet growing in big tubs. Nice concept if you want a living display on your porch for the season.

We were traveling last week in California. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party at Disneyland and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal studios. Mr. Old Fashion Halloween is teaching the History of Haunted Attractions class again this fall. We had to do some field research.

Last Friday we were at Paramount Studios for the VIP day tour with a break for dinner. We came back for the after dark tour that takes place on the back lot and in Hollywood forever cemetery. I do highly recommend the after dark tour if you can still get tickets. A lot of walking quickly in the 2.5 hours! More on the adventures later.
