It wasn't just museums, cathedrals, and a big cemetery. We spent a morning at the Paris Opera House. I couldn't stop humming Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera as we walked down the grand staircase. There were 2 smaller matching reception areas on either end of the grand reception room. One of the rooms had this lovely ceiling with bats. There were many times I wanted to drop on the floor and shoot photos while on my back. Resisted the urge as it was very crowded.

That's a gorgeous ceiling! Is it metal leaf?
Not sure there was no info in this room and the ceiling was 20 + feet above my head.
"Spook"tacular!
That is a stunning photo my friend!
Cheers!
That glowing ceiling is fantastic! I don't think I've ever seen bats decorating a ceiling before.
