Crow Spit

Crow

With a bit of patience I have slowly lured a pair of crows to our yard. With no big trees at the new house I was missing my old house crows. Tossing out peanuts in the shell each morning. Hiding inside, watching, and waiting. Thought they had missed one so I picked it up. It was empty and covered in crow spit! :o ) Yay!

I've been a sick critter for a few days but started feeling a bit more human today. The cats have always had quality time during the day and have been mighty upset with the lack of attention. Watched a great documentary streaming on Netflix tonight. Women in Boxes the history of the magician's assistant.

Shadows

Ghost Story

We have a mostly blank canvas on the side of the house that faces the street. There is an empty lot between the house and the road. Setting up projections on the side of the house is something I started thinking about last Halloween. Found this lovely image on flickr. My only concern is an expensive projector or 2 sitting in an empty lot and keeping an eye on it.

We were just talking about Disneyland when I found this on flickr. Looks like we will be going to Disneyland in December this year. My first time at Christmas and getting to see the Nightmare Before Christmas haunted mansion.

The kittens are thriving and getting so big. We lost another family member. Lovely veterans ceremony at the local national cemetery was very moving. The paperwork on the estate is taking up a lot of our time. The uncle was the last of his families older generation. We both decided it was time to start updating the family tree at ancestry.com for the nieces and nephews and great nephew. Going to have a book printed of each family tree.

My volunteer training continues at the Victorian mansion. I hope to have enough confidence to do a test run soon. Once that schedule is set I plan to volunteer at the non profit hospice group. Training is a couple of weeks so I need to get that started. Hospice has been good to us and now I know when someone is close to passing you want hospice. Better drugs fast and an easier passing.
